Books Before Barriers is a student-led organization founded in Parsippany, New Jersey, with a mission to promote literacy, equity, and access to education for all. Driven by the belief that knowledge should never be limited by circumstance, Books Before Barriers empowers young voices to bridge educational gaps through book drives, tutoring initiatives, and community outreach. By putting books into the hands of those who need them most, the organization strives to break down the barriers that stand between students and their futures.
Supplies collected:
As of February, we have collector over 4,500 school supplies including notebooks, stationary, books, etc.
Communities reached:
Worked with a multitude of partners in New Jersey to contribute to providing materials to an approximate number of 1800 individuals.
